When L’Oréal and TikTok headed to Vietnam—one of today’s most explosive markets—their mission was clear: dive deep, bond as partners, and soak up local culture and insights through a fresh lens. Organized by WDHB, the learning trip was all about experiencing the high-energy vibe of “New” and “Young” Vietnam.
To wrap it all up, Saigon Social was brought in to design a finale dinner that translated that exact energy onto the plate. We turned the trip’s forward-thinking themes into an effortless, modern-Vietnamese casual dining experience, perfectly celebrating the partnership while anchoring the trip’s key learning takeaways.

Here’s what we did.
The Client’s Brief (The Challenge)
WDHB, L’Oréal, and TikTok chose us to design an unforgettable “Saigon Supperclub” experience for their finale evening for their TikTok x L’Oreal Vietnam Immersion Trip.
The goals were clear:
- Merge Tech, Beauty, and Culture: Create a unique intersection that naturally resonated with TikTok’s digital-first mindset, L’Oréal’s beauty DNA, and deep, authentic Vietnamese cultural insights.
- Showcase Vietnam’s “New” Side: Bring to life the exact trends the executives came to Vietnam to study—hyper-connected social media landscapes, cutting-edge beauty trends, and a vibrant, modernizing local culture.
- Encourage Peer-to-Peer Partner Appreciation: Strengthen the strategic bond between L’Oréal and TikTok through a highly tailored, one-of-a-kind Vietnamese experience designed exclusively for this partnership.
- Elevate the Culinary Narrative: Surprise the palate by ditching standard catering for a modern, elevated take on Vietnamese cuisine and street food classics.
- Deliver the Ultimate “Employer Branding” Finale: Wrap up the multi-day trip by perfectly capturing its core themes—learning, innovation, casual fun, and cultural discovery—leaving the executives with a high-energy, memorable send-off.
What We Did
We transformed the finale into an immersive cultural and technological takeover, seamlessly linking the evening’s activities to the core objectives of innovation, partner appreciation, and cultural discovery.
AI Color Cocktail Analysis: Tech Meets Beauty
To immediately merge tech, beauty, and Vietnam’s “new” side, we launched an AI Color Cocktail Analysis welcome station. Executives scanned their faces for a personalized color analysis—a direct nod to L’Oréal’s DNA—before being matched with a modern, custom Vietnamese cocktail.
Each drink was crafted using local craft sake from Vietnam’s very first award-winning sake cellar, perfectly marrying social media trends, beauty, and modern mixology. Serving as the ultimate welcome drink, it broke the ice right at the start, driving instant social media buzz and setting a high-energy, innovative tone for the rest of the night.
Interactive Modern-Vietnamese food stations
To foster a relaxed environment and partner appreciation, we traded a stiff corporate buffet for an upscale, interactive modern-Vietnamese street food feast:
- Banh Mi Charcuterie & Salad Bars: An elevated, modern twist on local comfort food.
- DIY Spring Rolls: A fun, casual station where guests chose their fillings and chefs wrapped them on the spot, sparking effortless peer-to-peer bonding.
- Live Grill & Seafood Ice Bar: Showcased hyper-local delicacies—including traditional snails—to surprise the palate with authentic cultural insights.
For mains, we served Pho-Spiced Rub Marinated Ribs. The dessert – a cheesecake made with sake kasu from an award-winning Vietnamese local brewery – blended Vietnamese rice fermentation with French pastry techniques.
This final dessert served as a subtle yet significant nod to L’Oreal (the host, a legacy French company) and its deep investment in Vietnam, showcasing an approach rooted in harmonious integration and mutual cultural respect.
