– Meet the founder:
Jovel Chan is a Singaporean food writer, consultant, and entrepreneur who pivoted from global F&B marketing to become a leading voice in Vietnam’s dining scene. Since relocating to Saigon in 2020, she has consulted on Vietnam’s food and drink scene with the likes of Singapore Tourism Board and judged prestigious competitions, including Diageo World Class, Tatler Vietnam, and the Gourmet Vietnam Awards.
A recognized media personality, Jovel writes for Travel + Leisure (voted a regional Tastemaker from 2023–2025) and is a TV food host for Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Asian Food Network (AFN). Driven by community building, she founded the Saigon Supper Club and launched Saigon Social to connect discerning foodies with Vietnam’s culinary scene.
