Born in Singapore, raised on curiosity, and trained in Switzerland, she’s a food blogger turned food entrepreneur with nearly 20 years in the hospitality world across 8 countries—and counting. From fine dining rooms to street food alleys, Jovel’s all about stories that celebrate culture, connection, and what’s on the plate.
These days, she calls Vietnam home and channels all that delicious experience into creating unforgettable events, sharing hidden gems, and making sure every guest leaves a little fuller—in belly and in spirit.

Layla’s the kind of person who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes—think organized chaos, minus the chaos. With 5 years in the hospitality game and a degree in International Hotel and Resort Management, she’s handled everything from event logistics in Australia to barista gigs that fuel her love for coffee culture.
Raised on a mix of MasterChef marathons and big family gatherings during Tet, Layla’s passion for food, people, and cultural storytelling runs deep. At Saigon Social, she’s all about bringing those details together to help create events that feel seamless, soulful, and a little bit magical.

From Gia Lai, Pleiku in Vietnam, one of the coffee epicentres of the country, Thao is an avid coffee lover and self-taught barista. A natural operations guru, she takes care of everything from retail, operations, and costing and is secretly a book lover and secret graphic design and photography guru.

Host – Vietnamese Craft Liquor
Phuong Maxy is a storyteller with a love for wine, travel, and good vibes. Born in a small Vietnamese village with zero wine knowledge, she accidentally fell into wine marketing after uni—and it totally changed her life.
Now, she runs Vietnam’s first wine blog for the next-gen crowd, hosts the Wine Soundtrack podcast, and helps F&B brands tell their stories. As a board member of the Saigon Sommelier Association, she’s also lifting up young talent and dreaming of a day when Vietnamese food and fine wine rule the world.

A Saigonese in Singapore studying, she always found her roots in coffee – which led her to return to Vietnam to pick up a job in learning how to make coffee while waiting for her university exam results. Besides coffee, she also loves matcha!
