We did the liquor tasting experience and it was AWESOME! Great variery of products (all Vietnamese) from gin to rum to rice wine to makgeolli. Jovel knows a ton about each distillery and the history of the expansion of craft liquors. Cute spot, well worth visiting to learn a bit more about the history, plus generous pours and fun company.

As a mainly craft beer and bourbon enthusiast from the US, I wanted to see what the Vietnamese craft spirit scene had to offer.

Jovel is a lovely lady and host who took us on a tour of Vietnamese craft gin, rhum, ruou, makkoli and beer. She was clearly very knowledgeable about and excited to share the stores behind each spirit/distillery in Vietnam. I was not only amazed by how tasty all the beverages were, but also how smooth and drinkable the gin and rhum were. I am typically not a fan of either gin or rhum, but I truly enjoyed
the one’s we were able to sample.

This experience has indeed opened my eyes to what is possible in the realm of craft spirits outside of whiskey and I will certainly look to add some of these other varieties of spirits to my collection in the future. Thanks lovel!

She quickly fell in love with the country after accidentally stumbling into her first speakeasy bar tucked away on the third floor of an old residential building in Ho Chi Minh City. Since late 2023, we’ve hosted more than 300 people on dining experiences in farmhouses, hidden bars and restaurants with leading tastemakers, rooftops, and chefs’ homes for 2 to 50 to 150 people in Vietnam.

    How does it work?

    You make a booking

    We reach out to enquire about any special occasions or dietary restrictions

    We confirm your booking and send a link to receive a deposit

    One of our hosts, Jovel or our trusted partner tastemakers will be at the experience to facilitate in English. And, of course you’ll be joined by other like-minded individuals

    We can customize experiences based on dietary restrictions and allergies. Please let us know at least one week in advance!

    Once a booking is made, our team works hard to put together the experience

    As such, should you have a reason to cancel, please let us know at least 72 hours before (or as soon as possible).

    Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable unless due to medical reasons or unforeseen circumstances
